About Me

Hi! I’m Sandra, an artist and children’s book illustrator, living in sunny Phoenix, Arizona with a husband and a variety of pets.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and over the years have illustrated children’s books, decorated pottery and sold original paintings at juried art shows. I am a member of the SCBWI-AZ and participate in the illustrator group.

As my own children grew, I spent a lot of crayon time with them, drawing chair monsters and castles, and painting alongside them when they designed murals for their bedroom walls. We spent many hours cuddled up reading our favorites: The Farmyard Tales, The Big Red Barn, and The Color Kittens.

My hobbies include walking my dogs in the park, watching wildlife, singing on praise team and learning languages. I also like to paint outdoor murals.
